Enrique holds a BFA from San Jose State University, where he studied both painting and printmaking. He has exhibited at several Bay Area venues, including Galeria de La Raza, Euphrat Museum of Art and Richmond Art Center. Enrique was included in Hecho en Califas, a traveling exhibition of Latino artists from California. He has also collaborated on art projects with several community based institutions such as WORKS/San Jose and The California Historical Society.

In the past, Enrique worked as an art mentor for people living with HIV/AIDS. Currently, he also teaches seniors with low vision issues through the San Francisco Adult Day Heath Network.
