E. Francis Kohler

CE2 Studio & Services Manager

Born and raised in Sacramento, Francis moved to San Francisco in 1985 to study sculpture and film at the San Francisco Art Institute. After graduating in 1989 he spent five years doing various jobs to pay the bills while curating group shows. In 1994 Francis began volunteering at CE and began working part-time at our second studio location when it opened in 1995. He began teaching full-time in 1996, and became Studio Manager at CEII in 2005.

He lives in San Francisco with a giant cat and a conventionally-sized girlfriend. He also co-directs documentary films with former Creativity Explored instructor, Todd Herman.
