Megan Hover
Development Manager

Megan Hover has over a decade of experience as a fundraising professional for nonprofit organizations across the country. She believes in the power of an inclusive society, one where everyone can explore their passions and thrive.

Her commitment to service started when she joined New Jersey Public Interest Research Group (NJPIRG) as a freshman at Rutgers University. As NJPIRG’s Chapter Chair and the Hunger & Homelessness Campaign Director, she helped fundraise for local homeless shelters and food pantries. After graduating with her Master’s in Public Administration from the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University, she worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member at Jackson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in Kansas City, Missouri. As CASA’s Program Manager, her fund development efforts helped quadruple the agency’s annual operating budget during her five-year tenure. During her free time, Megan helped establish the award-winning Care to Learn Fund for a charter school in Kansas City. After relocating to the Bay Area, she joined the Development team at Juma Ventures writing grant proposals for Juma’s work in nine cities across America.

Megan loves living in the Bay Area and finds herself exploring the city’s neighborhoods on the weekend. She also enjoys traveling and trying local cuisine with family and friends. The granddaughter, daughter, and sister of artists, Megan continues to question her lack of artistic abilities but continues to doodle on occasion.
